Click the Admin tab.
Click the Settings tab.
Scroll down to Security Settings section.
Set the parameter and click Change.
The security settings give administrators the ability to secure network traffic between a user and the server, terminate inactive user sessions and define minimum password strength.
The Secure Connection forces transmissions to/from the server to use HTTP when set to off, or HTTPS (Secure HTTP) when set to on. The default is off. The auto option inspects the device address, and if located in one of the defined LAN-accessible domains, HTTP is used. If it is not a LAN-accessible device, HTTPS is used. Enabling secure connections can negatively impact network performance, and possibly slow down image delivery to the user. Click the Change Button to make changes take effect.
The secure connection setting does not control the security of the DICOM communications. Secure DICOM is configured through the definition of the DICOM port and protocol in the Devices table.
The Inactivity Time Out specifies the number of inactive minutes before the server automatically logs the user off the system. To set an inactivity time-out, enter the number of minutes desired in the field, and click the Change Button. A value of zero indicates no time-out.
When LDAP is configured on a server, the system can be configured to use the built in authentication agent or one of the available LDAP servers. The system default setting is available in the Security Settings section. The setting is the Authentication Agent field. The available options are the following:
Built In - the system’s authentication software
LDAP servers (optional) – configured LDAP servers
