LDAP Configurations

A server can be configured to authenticate users internally or externally, using one or more authentication agents. An authentication agent can be an eRAD RIS/PACS server or a configured LDAP server. To configure an LDAP server into the system,

1. Click the Admin tab and then the Settings tab.
2. In the System Settings section, click the LDAP Configurations link
3. Click New LDAP Configuration, .
4. Enter the LDAP configuration settings
• Configuration ID – (Required) Unique identifier for this LDAP agent
• Server URI – (Required) LDAP server’s URI
• Search Base – Excluded area identifiers to narrow LDAP searches
• Search Bind – LDAP server’s bind address domain name
• Search Password – LDAP server’s password
• UID Filter – Filter string sent to LDAP server to find the user
5. Click Save.

LDAP configuration settings proliferate throughout the dotcom. For details on the LDAP configuration fields and other setup information, refer to the LDAP Configuration Manual.

When at least one LDAP server is configured on a server, admins can assign the default authentication agent for the server and a specific authentication for each group and user account.
