Users with access to the archive page can query remote archives and retrieve studies. By default, the query criteria page prompts you for what to search for, and from which archive. After performing the query request, the results appear in a table similar to the main worklist, with the same filtering, sorting and configuration tools.
Click on the Archive tab and then the External tab to reach the external archive query page.
Specify search criteria from the query page
using the Filter button, , to define your search patterns. There is a default
filter limiting the search to studies less than one day old. This
prevents users from inadvertently querying the entire database, which
could flood the network with excessive amounts of data. Change or
remove this filter as necessary.
Select the archive device from the Source list. The device must exist as a DICOM Q/R SCP in the device's DICOM Services table. Each source is listed as <deviceID>@<serverHostname>, where serverHostname is the server whose Devices table defines deviceID. The query is issues to the device deviceID. The SELF deviceID is your local server. If retrieved, the study is sent to the server serverHostname.
Click on Query.
To move one or more of studies found in the query
to a defined device, put a check in the box on the left of each study
and click the Retrieve button, .
