To search the worklist using a single attribute, observe these steps:
Click on the filter button, ,
just below the column heading to display a filter window.
Enter a search pattern. Multiple patterns are separated by semi-colons (no spaces). If a selection list exists, select multiple values from the list by pressing the ALT key while clicking values.
Select the search criteria type:
- The search criteria matches the data
exactly as entered.
- The search criteria does not match
the data exactly as entered.
- The search criteria is found at the
beginning of the data.
- The search criteria is
found at the anywhere except the beginning of the data.
- The search criteria exists
anywhere in the data. These queries take longer to complete than
most other search types.
- The search criteria exists
nowhere in the data. These queries take longer to complete than
most other search types.
When complete, click one of the following:
Apply Alone - Apply the defined criteria by itself, ignoring any other criteria that may already exist.
Apply Combined (Default) - Add this filter criteria to existing filter criteria.
Apply w/o Context - When a compound worklist filter is applied, clear the context and then apply the filter.
The filter button at the top of the column shows the applied filter. In the filter window, the pulldown list of predefined values appears if the Filtered List setting is configured to show the list. When present, these values are either an enumerated list of defined values, such as study states, or the list of values currently in the database, such as the list of patient names.
The search criteria can include or exclude the specified value. Use the criteria type button as described above to find an exact match, one that begins with the defined criteria or one that contains the criteria anywhere in the data.
Depending on the Person Name Filter setting, names fields appear as a single text field or are separated into first, middle and last name fields. For single entry name fields, use the caret ('^') to identify name components. For example, SMITH^A searches for all entries containing a lastname of SMITH and a firstname starting with the letter 'A'.
To define search criteria on multiple worklist columns at the same time, use the filter button at the top of the worklist. A web page displays listing all the current worklist columns. From this page, you can also define search criteria for fields that do not appear in the worklist.
Save a search pattern as a worklist filter to speed up common searches.
To remove a search pattern from the worklist, click on the filter button or the display matching criteria at the top of the worklist column. Deselect the criteria type button and click on Apply.
The search tools require List Saving permissions.
