Signing a report sets the state to Final, after which all changes must be made in an addendum. Report signing requires Approve privileges.

To sign a single report, click the Status column value for the study to display the report, and click the Approve button next to the text area you want to approve. When prompted to confirm, click OK to sign the report or Cancel to return without saving any changes.

To sign multiple reports at one time, use the report signing wizard. Studies must be in Preliminary state to be batch approved. From the worklist, check the studies you want to sign and click the batch signing button, , at the top of the worklist. The wizard locks each of the selected studies, displays the report component and a series of buttons.

Previous: Move to the previous study on the list.

Next: Move to the next study on the list.

Approve: Mark this report for approval.

Finish: Jump to the summary page.

Cancel: Release all the locks and return without making any changes to any report.

Edits made during the review process are recorded when you click Approve or move to another report. When you confirm the approval process from the summary table, the changes become un-editable and the study state is set to Final.

After marking all studies, a summary page appears. To cancel changes to the study state, click Cancel. To complete the process, click Approve. If you click Approve, the studies marked for approval will be signed, with the user's ID recorded as the signer. The report date and time fields are updated.
