Click the Admin tab.
Click the Devices tab.
Scroll to the HL7 services, order flow or report flow table.
Set the HL7 settings and click Save.
The HL7 Services section of the Device page contains general HL7 configuration information. For instruction on configuring a specific HL7 device, go to the HL7 device settings page.
Define the general HL7 configuration from the HL7 messages, report flow and order flow sections of the devices page. Upload the general mapping file used to control the common HL7 messages supported by all HL7 devices.
For each configured HL7 device, configure the flow of orders and reports from source to destination device in the order flow and report flow sections. To enable order transfers, place a checkmark in the corresponding destination device in the order flow table checkbox, and click on Save. Repeat this step for report in the report flow table. In both cases, LOCAL refers to the server you are logged into.
After uploading all mapping files and creating at least one HL7 device, make sure the configuration was correctly parsed by clicking on Check HL7 Config. If an error is detected, a warning message identifies and displays the problem devices. Correct the problem, upload the new map file, and check the configuration again.
